The AQUA ORGANIC brand was founded in 2009 by Dr. Lars-Peter Kuhr and Bernd Schmidt. Dr. Lars-Peter Kuhr specializes in aesthetic dermatology, anti-aging medicine and naturopathy. Bernd Schmidt is responsible for the brand philosophy and product design. In the AQUA ORGANIC products, they combine their medical expertise with a feel for aesthetics and well-being.
The idea for AQUA ORGANIC was born out of disillusionment. Bernd Schmidt and Lars-Peter Kuhr were looking for an organic cosmetics line for the medical spa they had founded at the time. However, what they found on the market did not meet their requirements. The existing products were too home-made, the textures too oily and, above all, they were musty and didn't smell good. The two of them looked at each other and said: "We can do better than that."
This decision resulted in a clear idea of the look and feel, the ingredients and the financing. The medical expertise and practical experience gained from daily contact with customers and patients completed the formula. Every aspect, every level should bear the signature of the two founders. That's why everything was self-financed from the outset, without investors for their own natural growth. After visiting various trade fairs, a manufacturer was also found who could implement this formula appropriately.
The first edition was for use in their own spa. However, after the product was so well received, Bernd Schmidt and Lars-Peter Kuhr dared to relaunch it in 2013 with a complete product overhaul to make it visible and present to the outside market. The brand was on a solid footing and ready for its next phase of growth. Bernd Schmidt and Lars-Peter Kuhr remained true to their triad of "organic, unique and exclusive". Since then, AQUA ORGANIC has enjoyed increasing popularity at home and abroad. The courage to do things their own way has paid off.
They say that brevity is the spice of life. In the case of AQUA ORGANIC, we have minimized the list of ingredients in favour of a clear focus. Mineral oil derivatives, parabens and artificial fragrances and colorants were not even included, instead only pure plant substances from controlled organic cultivation and vegetable oils from first pressing. All vegan and without animal testing. Consequently, unnecessary packaging, package inserts and sample material were also eliminated for environmental reasons.
